Vehicles allowed
GRDA rules cover four-wheel vehicles, off-road vehicles and ATVs on designated areas; the rules mention 3-/4-wheelers, motorcycles, dune buggies and 4x4s and ROPS-equipped vehicles with child seats. RiderPlanet (third-party, 2025) lists ATV, UTV/SxS, motorcycle and registered SUV/Jeep all permitted. UTV/SxS is not named in the GRDA rules text itself; the Town of Disney page says its city streets are UTV-friendly, but that is not about the riding area. Confirm UTV use with GRDA.
GRDA rules cover ATVs, motorcycles and 4x4/dune buggies (ROPS + belts); UTV/SxS is listed as permitted only by third-party RiderPlanet - confirm with GRDA
Width limit
No width limit appears in the GRDA off-road rules (DirtCompass reading); RiderPlanet (third-party) says 'No restriction'. Confirm with GRDA.
Difficulty (source wording)
unknown official rating. Named features include rock crawl obstacles and mud; RiderPlanet (third-party) rates the terrain mostly 'amateur' with some novice and little expert. DirtCompass does not assign a number.
Trail miles
RiderPlanet (third-party): ~100 mi of trail on ~20,000 acres (unverified). TravelOK (about Hogan's): 'about five square miles of trails and rock structures' - the two figures conflict and neither is from GRDA.
Fees & permits
GRDA rules and map list no fee; RiderPlanet (third-party): no entry/riding/permit fee. Private campgrounds beside it charge: Hogan's tent $20, RV $30 (TravelOK, undated); Shultz Creek (Eucha, separate private park) RV $55/night incl. one SxS.
Hours & season
No gate or published hours found on GRDA pages. RiderPlanet (third-party): 'Daily 24/7'. Rule 300:35-23-5 requires working lights between half an hour before sunset and half an hour after sunrise, which implies night riding is allowed. The Town of Disney says its state parks 'are available year-round and tend to fill up every weekend'.
Amenities
No facilities on the GRDA riding land itself found. Camping, restrooms and showers at Hogan's (TravelOK) and nearby private parks; Disney Area at Grand Lake State Park (232 Cliff Heights) has boat ramp, primitive tent camping and a comfort station; fuel and food in Disney.
Rules
GRDA Lake Rules 300:35-23 (map dated 2019-07-22, file uploaded 2025-02): ride only in designated areas; passengers only on 3-/4-wheelers or motorcycles built with a separate seat and foot support; low gear except on trails posted above 5 mph; no racing without a sanctioned-event permit; working dimmable headlight and rear lights at night, light bars off for oncoming traffic; dune buggies and 4x4s need a ROPS and a seat belt per passenger; obey all signs; riders ride at their own risk. Helmets required for operators AND passengers under 18 on motorcycles and ATVs. No alcohol while operating or riding. RESTRICTED: immediately below the dam and spillways, rip-rap areas, and anything signed or barricaded (trespass arrest). GRDA police may order violators out and ban them up to 90 days. Highway 28 requires a street-legal vehicle (Town of Disney).
Family & group notes
unknown - open public land with mud, rock obstacles and no staffed gate; under-18 helmet rule applies

Status note

GRDA's own column (page modified 2023-12-07) says a portion of the trails is closed to protect an eagle nest, centred ~0.75 mi south of the main spillway and marked by signs; the 2025 GRDA map shows an 'Eagle Nesting Area' in its legend. Whether it is closed now was not confirmed.

JUST OUTSIDE THE CORE REGION (added 2026-10-27): straight-line distance from the pin is ~13 mi to Jay OK (already in the directory via America's Outdoor Adventure Park) and ~42 mi to Westville OK (DirtCompass calculation; the earlier note's '~25 mi' was a rough figure). Earlier rejected as out of region; approved for inclusion. One listing covers the free public GRDA riding area; nearby private parks are noted but not listed separately yet: Hogan's Off Road Park (321 Construction Dr, 918-520-4504, hogansoffroad@outlook.com per TravelOK) and Shultz Creek Campground & Off-Road Park (1793 OK-28, Eucha, 918-442-5648; Thu 5 PM-Sun noon, early Mar-late Nov; 68 RV sites; 340 acres; connects to Little Blue State Park). UTV rentals exist locally (Rocks and Docks Adventure Rentals per RiderPlanet; not verified). Little Blue State Park appears on the GRDA map; no separate fee or rules page found. Not contacted; GRDA Police 918-256-0911 is the number on the GRDA map.
