Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: October 27, 2026
1. Who we are
DirtCompass ("we", "us") runs dirtcompass.com, a directory of off-highway vehicle trails, parks and related businesses. DirtCompass is operated by PartyOn LLC, an Arkansas limited liability company. You can reach us at hello@dirtcompass.com.
2. Information only, so ride at your own risk
Listings are compiled from public sources and operator submissions. Rules, fees, closures, vehicle limits and trail conditions change, and our information may be incomplete or out of date. DirtCompass is not an official source. Always confirm details with the operator or the managing agency, including the Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Map, before you ride. Off-highway riding is dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety, equipment, permits and following the law.
3. Using the site
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial trip planning. Don't scrape the site in bulk, interfere with it, or republish our compiled data without permission.
4. Paid placements (Featured Listing, Regional Sponsor, Newsletter Sponsor)
- What you get: the features described on the For park owners page at the time you buy. Features marked "once it launches" start when that feature launches.
- Billing: monthly plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Newsletter sponsorships are a one-time charge for each issue.
- Cancellation: you can cancel a monthly plan at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. See the Refund policy.
- Price changes: founding rates stay the same while your plan stays active. We'll give at least 30 days' email notice before any other price change.
- Your content: you confirm that you have the rights to any logo, photos and text you give us, and you allow us to display them for your placement. You are responsible for the accuracy of your ads and their compliance with the law.
- Editorial independence: paid placements are labeled as paid and don't affect listing facts, ratings or verification labels.
- Our right to decline or remove: we may decline or remove a placement that is misleading, unlawful, or unrelated to riding. If we remove a placement for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused portion on a prorated basis.
5. Corrections and listing removal
Operators can ask for corrections or updates for free by emailing hello@dirtcompass.com.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, DirtCompass isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of listing information or from riding. Our total liability for paid placements is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll post it here and email active advertisers.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas.
9. Privacy
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. We show no ad tracking. If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address with our email provider (Resend) only to send you the newsletter. We never sell or share it, and you can unsubscribe from any issue or by emailing hello@dirtcompass.com.
